I love my leaders! I had a very short BUT FRUITFUL MSN conversation with Dom before he left for Gold Coast with Pastors. Seriously I think it will take quite some time for me to get to that level where I can just impact someone's life within the first 5 - 10 minutes of contact. Dominic and Lynette can do it really well; that's why they are my leaders! That's why they are my role models after Pastors. (: Next week is going to be a real hectic week but I know it's a season of stretching and growth now. I can't quite explain how I feel inside - maybe more excitement than fear - but I know the end result will be good. Or so I expect. I have an exam this coming Saturday which I have yet to study for and 3 tutorials to complete but I think I will do just fine. HAHA! School is just part and parcel of life. Just have to manage it well. (: Pastor How mentioned something really really cool to me in the guestroom just now. I was super high after I heard that and shared what Pastor said with Yassy. It's going to be super cool if everything comes to pass. I can't wait! Ooh! Pastor shared about Benjamin, Soon Lee and Soon Ling during AI. I was so moved to tears! Especially when I knew about their life stories and I have personal contacts with them. I cried myself silly but those were tears of joy - to see how God has touched and impacted their lives. There was this video which showed the dreams of the children in the orphanages and HOGC. Really powerful video. I was moved and impacted by the greatness of their dreams. YSC is cool. I'm going to bring my cousins there one day. (: Pastors are in Gold Coast right now. Rinnah will meet me in Pets Society on Facebook! HAHA! She taught me how to play last night! To think I have been ignoring all the invites to add the application for months. The power of Rinnah. HAHA! D odds meeting tomorrow! I'm really excited for it. I was preparing for the meeting till late last night and it was worth the time. I love reading those stories about people rising up; new regulars being planted and the many stories of the different CGs in D odds. It's really my privilege to be able to plan this whole thing. (: Family meeting later at 8PM. I seriously have no idea what it is about but I will keep my faith that it will be good. (: Current Mood: bouncy

Probably the last post for January. Haha. I just spent some time with God. Couldn't sleep because there was too much noises in my head. It was good and I felt so much better. Truly, nothing beats having Dr. Jesus. He cures everything. (: It has been quite some time since I posted my previous post so I decided I should do something and revive this space. Haha.. And so I'm back from KL. It was pretty significant - my first overseas trip with my friends! (: (That aside from training trips and working trips.) 3 days and 2 nights over at Truly Asia were super chiong. Immediately when we alighted from the coach, we made our way to Sunway Lagoon. There we bought new tops (some of us were not dressed for wet games), changed, stuffed our things in a locker, bought a burger, ran while eating the burger and voila! - we were seen on top of our floats and sliding down the water slide in the next minute! Haha! We practically ran around the whole place to the various stations as we had only 2 hours to explore the whole place. It would have been much more fun with Sunway Lagoon were to close at a later time. Scream Park was okay - though I didn't really enjoyed the last area. The thrill rides were cool - I went on the Tomahawk 5 times unknowingly - seeing the world upside down as it swung 360°. You guys should try it next time you go Sunway Lagoon. Even their Viking goes 360°. It's fun - really! (: Another thing which we did best in KL was to go around tasting and appreciating the good food around the area. Sakura's nasi lemak is totally tantalising. Bak Kut Teh was good too though we didn't manage to go to the stall which Jay Chou patronised. Soo Kee tze char was heavenly as well though the barley drink tasted really weird. We had ice-cream at Baskin Robbins - my strawberry and banana ice-cream was very yummy. Haha! I'm getting hungry now as I am typing and recalling every details. I'm so sure that Nic and Hongrui will enjoy themselves there. Haha. Where there is food, there will be Nic and Hongrui. HAHA! The rest of the time was spent shopping, watching dvds (and crashing while we lazed around and watched the shows), bargaining (i think this only applies for me) and deciding on a movie in 10 minutes. We slept around 4am every night in KL and that's really bad because it starts the bad cycle. Fortunately the ride back home helped to set my biological clock right again - not for long though as CNY came and wrecked my biological time system. CNY this year wasn't as happening as last year. I think we are showing signs of aging - no longer do we choing like we did in the past; no more ktv marathons but instead we went around in smaller groups; chilled and hung out in quiet places and enjoyed the fellowship with our friends. This year, it was just different but I kind of like it that way. I personally do not like big crowds and I become very stressed when I face huge crowds (contrary to what many would think). This lunar new year was one filled with many 'first time' too. I learnt how to play 'Left 4 Dead' for the first time(guess who introduced it to me - my wonderful sister, Xinjie. Haha!) and was in the LAN shop playing (for the first time) with Noni, Cheryl and Xinjie while screaming "Help me! Help me!"; "Eh. Where are all of you?!?!" and the most frequently used, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH!" Haha. It's quite fun and I'm slowly getting a hold of it. Quite an achievement I would say - given that I'm a serious noob in PC games. For the first time I went to Weiqi's house too. Finally I managed to meet up with my college bestie. That girl has been uncontactable since she came back from Shanghai and I had to call her house to get her. Fortunately she was at home and I went over to her place with Xinjie in the evening. It was a great time catching up with her. I miss my bestie/nanny a lot. As we browsed through the photos we took in AJ, memories came flooding back. My class was cool because we had no politics. It was one for all and all for one. Very healthy competition and I like that. (: Time really flies. Right now, at 7:29, many are on their way to school and work. Zhilin was just complaining to me about school a few hours ago. Haha. I think I should really end this post and go to sleep before Mummy wakes up and finds me still typing furiously on my laptop. I have a visitation later on. Haha. Oh well. I can't wait for this weekend's combined service. That's my highlight for the week. (: Current Mood: contemplative

I love December! Despite the busy and hectic days, I still love December - very very much! It's really a season of love and giving. The past few weeks have been totally awesome and I enjoyed every moment of fellowship with D5 CEG and my friends in church. This December is different because I see people rising up and growing. The new restructure is really cool - so many people are conquering new grounds and going up to the next level! AMT was really fantastic too! A pity I couldn't be part of the first AMT(A). I really would want to be part of the whole team. Nonetheless, I'm so happy to see so many of them rising up and breaking through to a whole new level! Valerie graduated with distinction! Qian Qian graduated with merit and scored full marks for memory verses! Jingfen, Jasmine and Choong Kai graduated with merit too! Yet more than just the grades, I see a genuine change in them. They have all grown up! Looking at how Valerie is rising up to a whole new level motivates me a lot. Seeing how Choong Kai is going to continue the revival with Gavin and Godric inspires me a lot. I read Gavin's latest post and I nearly cried. "Like what we usually say... Gavin, Garrett (G), goDric, Dominic (D), Choong kai, Charleston (C). Haha!!! Cool man!!! As you can see, Godric is the only one with D in his name, so he will be Dominic :) Haha!!! I still remember that last time, we will day-dream about us being like Garrett, Dominic and Charleston, day-dream about Choong kai will play the drums and be like Charleston, Godric will play the keyboard and be like Dom, and i will play the guitar and be like Garrett!!! Haha!!! And you know what!!! We really are playing the instruments that we have been day-dreaming of!!! Choong kai is really playing the drums, i am playing the guitar and Godric have a interest in keyboard and is thinking of joining keyboard lessons. Cool right?!!? Haha!!! It's really cool to see all the things that we day-dream are coming true... Haha!!! I think when we day-dream about school revival, revival will really come man!!!"Such great visions they have! Man, I see so much potential in the three of them! I was conversing with Qian Qian on our way to Annlynn's house this evening and she was sharing with me her latest revelation. I've noticed a very radical change in her recently and I thought it might have been one of her encounters with God that has changed her. No longer is she stuck in her own little world. She's constantly looking out for people now; fervently serving in the house of God; anxiously trying to bring more souls to Christ and continue that MJC revival since 2003. Something must have touched her during AMT and revival night. Someone must have touched her during these few days. Someone none other than God Himself. This weekend's service was powerful. The presence of God was so thick. Thoughts were just racing through my mind as the pieces in my mind started to click and a bigger picture was formed. I was so touched by His presence. Service prayer meeting really ministered as well. I was really very anxious and worried during the weekends as bad news just kept coming in and people were not coming back. So anxious that I called for a phone prayer conference with some of the leaders and regulars to pray for the people. Yet, Garrett shared a very powerful verse and told us to plant that verse deeply into our hearts. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Be anxious for nothing. (: Just pray, pray and pray; for the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Before I end this, I have another evidence of the great people in D5. jieru says:peijun! i have sth exciting for you! haha elf PEIJUN all i want for christmas... says:LOL jieru says:are you on for it? elf PEIJUN all i want for christmas... says:what thing? hahaha yeah on on :D Always so ready; always so available! Dominic told me I need to build more CGLs in the CEG. My vision for 2009 is to have 4 more CGLs in the CEG. Looking at how they are growing, I have faith and I believe that my vision is going to come to pass. (: Current Mood: cheerful

Right. A summary of the past 1 month or so. Yes. I'm finally updating! Haha. 19 Oct - 31 Oct LondonThe trip to London was really an eye-opener. I really thank Pastors for giving me this opportunity to follow them for the One'08 Conference. It was an experience which I won't get within the next 5 years. Given the chance to go over again, I will definitely go for the musicals! (: I love the cold weather over there. More than just having fun dressing up in different layers and trying out different styles, the weather is ideal for walks. Who cares about walking in Singapore?! It's too hot! Hahs. Nevertheless you can take long long walks in London during fall. London is different in the early morning, afternoon, evening and at night. The surroundings and happenings just give a different feel. I prefer the early mornings and night time when people are not rushing for work. (Everyone in London walks as fast as Garrett - you will understand if you ever walk beside Garrett. You don't walk. You run. Haha.) Oh! Did I mention that we had the chance to fly on A380 to London? SQ 322 to be exact - the latest baby of the Airbus family. (: Super spacious. So much better than our flight back home. I love airbus! Haha. 3 Nov - 9 Nov CHC Powerhouse Nick Vujicic Pastor Kong SeminarThe first power-packed week for Novemeber. No doubt I was really stressed the whole week, with the responsibility to ensure that the whole hospitality ministry is running while at the same time, taking care of the crew and to constantly remind self that I cannot overwork them. Nonetheless, I'm so so happy that everything turned out well. I'm so proud of the hospitality and cafe ministry. (I have since realised that both ministries are kind of intertwined together and they really help to support one another.) A few lessons learnt here and there: Instructions are instructions and they are not to be taken lightly. Sometimes we just have to trust our leaders totally - not 80% or 90% trust - but trusting them fully and wholly. Anyway D5 and D50 brokethrough 100 that weekend, with an all high attendance of 103 (D5:63; D50:40)! We had tons of new friends and Evangelist of the week is none other than Yiwen. She really brought a busload of friends and some of them were really good. Many of them rose up to the occasion to help take care of the new friends. I love D5 and D50 so very much! It warms my heart to see them all rising up. Growth is the word of the season - not just growing in attendance but also spiritually and in character. They are growing in all aspects and I'm happy. (Oh man. I sound like a mother. Haha.) The following week was less hectic and it was really fun going on all the outings with different people. From meals to surprises, it feels good to be able to impact people's lives in a positive way; to love them with the love of Christ; to show them the joy of the Lord. I made many many new friends and I like my new friends. Amongst all, there's Ding Chao who came up with fingering exercises in the wee hours of the morning for Ryan and I. I was really impressed and touched - this made me put in extra effort to practise on my piano. Haha. Ken is amazing too. I'm so happy to see him growing in Christ. There's actually so many more people I would love to mention but this will take me ages and I won't be able to move on to the next power-packed week. So if you are my new friend, you know I really thank God for the opportunity to meet you. Haha. 15 Nov - 16 Nov Strike It! WeekendThat weekend was full of action. Everyone was in jersey and there was a street soccer competition. Not wanting to leave the females out, we had captain's ball too. All of us were sweating it out on the court. I played with the guys (with Pastor Lia as our captain! Woohoo!) and there was this really huge guy in the opposite team. Super scary but I was not daunted. Haha. Pastor Lia said I should be in the men's league. HAHA! 18 Nov - 23 Nov Asia Conference 2008We had the privilege to serve in hospitality during Asia Conference and it was really a great learning experience. I observed much things and learnt a few simple recipes from Henry and Wei Ming. Jotted them all down in my powerful black notebook. Haha! It was great joy meeting people like Jennifer, Brenda, Hui Ping, Zhi Yan, Helen and all the SIA cabin crew - Danny, Raymond, Rachel and many many more! Haha. (I think 'many many more' sounds better than 'etc'.) From table setting to how we serve, Asia Conference has indeed helped me to see things out of my own tiny world and I know the experience gained will help to bring both Hospitality and Cafe ministry up to a whole new level. We are going to conquer new grounds! Anyway we wrote a card to Pastor Yong, Audrey and the crew to thank them. We also gave them 2 bags of goodies. Haha! Trust us to be in hospitality. We will feed you! (This brings to mind what Wei Ming said in the pantry. The ushers have this black tee with 'Can I help you?' at the back. He said hospitality should have a tee with 'Can I feed you?' too. Haha!) Beyond the opportunity to serve, the sermons were super powerful. Dr A.R Bernard and Rev Phil Pringle are really O.D dynamic and anointed preachers. I could feel the presence of God so tangibly even when I was in the guestroom. (: Now, to the most exciting part of the conference! Pastor How was ordained as a Reverend on Sunday morning! How cool is that! I was so glad that most of us managed to sit together as a whole church. Generally, the first-ever Asia Conference was a blast and success! I look forward to Asia Conference 2010. I believe more doors will be open. By then Heart of God Church will double in our attendance! AMEN! Whee! I managed to summarise everything. Haha. It can be quite tiring to update. I spent the past hour updating this. Goodness gracious. I'm looking at the beautiful piece of painting done by Pastor Phil beside me now. (I have the privilege to help Pastors bring this back home with me! Bringing over to their house tomorrow when I'm on PA.) The painting is so pretty! Looking at it makes updating my journal less stressful. Haha. Okie dokies. I'm going off soon. Sharyl sent me the entire 'Light Of The City' album and I'm going to listen to them! Thanks Sharyl! (I mentioned your name twice! Ain't you honoured? Haha! Love you aplenty!) Current Mood: energetic
